Interesting article here from ScienceNow about how the development of color vision may have come at the detriment of olfaction. I wonder whether it’s a coincidence that both rhodopsin, used in color vision, and the olfactory proteins are similar (7 helix transmembrane bundles).

According to Groklaw, SCO is now suing Novell. Who isn’t being sued by SCO?
